Bottom Slitter Knives — What They Are & What They Do
Bottom Slitter knives are circular cutting blades used in the printing and converting industries to cut a variety of materials with efficiency and precision. These materials include paper, film, foil, and non-woven textiles. Bottom Slitters work by cutting from the underside of the material, making them ideal for applications where the material needs to be partially cut through or if the top layer of the material needs to remain intact. Additionally, Bottom Slitter knives are harder than their Top Slitter counterparts, preventing the usual burr from forming on the top of the knife during high-speed slitting.
